Week 6 Start/Sit
Week 6 Fantasy Start/Sit by Game
Cincinnati, Detroit, Miami, and Minnesota are on bye, Seattle and Denver are already done, and the remaining slate is full of players whose names feel safer than their roles.
Texans at Jaguars
Start Woody Marks in the flex. David Montgomery is out and didn't travel. Marks's snap share jumped from 44 percent to 85 percent last week as the Houston backfield became his. Jacksonville allows the second-fewest half-PPR points per game to running backs (13.6), so the rushing efficiency may stink, but the receiving work keeps Marks a low-end flex option.
Sit Bhayshul Tuten. Twenty-two carries against Philadelphia produced 72 yards, 3.3 per carry, and now left tackle Anton Harrison is on injured reserve against Houston's front. The Texans have allowed three rushing touchdowns to backs, but chasing one behind a compromised line is how Sunday turns into four hours of checking the same miserable box score.
Sit Trevor Lawrence. His catchable-ball rate under pressure is 61 percent, while Houston has allowed two passing touchdowns in three games. Lawrence is a QB2 with a low ceiling and a front designed to make him play from the mud.
Titans at Colts
Start Tony Pollard. He's logged 14, 17, 16 and 14 carries over his last four games, and Indianapolis allows 24.6 half-PPR points per game to running backs. Tennessee ranks last in scoring, which caps the touchdown upside, but volume this clean belongs in the RB2 spot.
Saints at Giants
Sit Alvin Kamara. Kamara is questionable with a back injury after managing five touches in a three-back rotation. The old name can't rescue the current workload.
Sit Tyler Shough. The Giants have blitzed heavily since Brian Burns's injury, and Shough has completed 52.1 percent of his passes for 6.0 yards per attempt under pressure. That's a bad stream wearing a clean jersey.
Panthers at Eagles
Start Dameon Pierce in the flex. With Saquon Barkley out and Will Shipley on injured reserve, Pierce collected thirteen touches last week, eleven carries and two catches. Those touches gained twelve yards, a stat line that smells like a wet locker-room drain, but Carolina allows the second-most yards after contact. The role gets another shot in a much better matchup.
Downgrade DeVonta Smith to a borderline WR2. Jalen Hurts is out with a calf injury and Tanner McKee starts. Smith practiced fully Friday and carries no designation, but the quarterback change lowers both his target quality and his ceiling. Start him only if your WR depth is thin.
Steelers at Buccaneers
Sit Aaron Rodgers. Three straight multi-touchdown games make the decision look easy until the matchup shows up. Tampa Bay has held opposing quarterbacks to the ninth-fewest fantasy points per game, and only one quarterback has cleared twenty against them. The streak is real, and so is the ceiling on it. Rodgers stays on the bench.
Bears at Falcons
Treat Luther Burden III and Rome Odunze as flex plays, not WR2s. Caleb Williams was a full participant Friday and is questionable with a hamstring injury, so the shootout case still hangs on a quarterback who hasn't been cleared. Atlanta can create pressure without blitzing. Check the inactives before kickoff; if Williams is out, both go to the bench.
Sit Kyle Pitts. Chicago presents the third-toughest matchup for tight ends. Pitts needs efficiency in a game where the Bears quarterback is only questionable, and the matchup strips that away.
Chargers at Chiefs
Sit Omarion Hampton. Hampton's snap share slid from 35 percent to 30 percent last week, behind Kimani Vidal at 42 and Keaton Mitchell at 34. Kansas City has held its recent opposing backs to 3.5 yards per carry or less. A shrinking snap share against that front is bench material.
Sit Justin Herbert. He's sitting around QB24 to QB25 after completing 59.4 percent of his passes with more interceptions than touchdowns. Kansas City allows one of the league's lowest quarterback point totals. Starting Herbert here leaves your lineup smelling like an open gym bag by halftime.
Sit Ladd McConkey. McConkey (foot) practiced fully Friday and has no designation, but Kansas City allows the fewest fantasy points in the league to wide receivers, 21.5 PPR per game. A healthy McConkey still stays out.
Cowboys at Packers
Start MarShawn Lloyd. He led Green Bay's backfield with a 44.1 percent snap share last week and scored twice on thirty-one rushing yards. The 1.32 yards after contact were ugly, but Dallas allows a top-ten explosive-run rate. Lloyd has enough access to the touches that matter.
Start Jordan Love. He's thrown multiple touchdowns every week and now gets the defense allowing the sixth-most quarterback points. With the projected total sitting between 52.5 and 53.5 points, Love belongs in the lineup.
Commanders at 49ers
Start Jayden Daniels. San Francisco allows the third-fewest yards per pass attempt, and Daniels sits near the bottom of the league in that category. None of it changes the call. He ran nine times for 103 yards and two touchdowns last week, finishing as QB2, and that rushing work can break a difficult passing matchup by itself.
